In 2003, I was appointed to the (voluntary) position of Parish MC, responsible for the smooth running of major Parish celebrations. I am also an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Lay Reader (I also organise the Rota for Readers), and a member of the Cashier/Counting Team at St John Vianney RC Church, Bexleyheath.
I was an active member of St John Ambulance (Sunderland Division) for 10 years, and for 5 of those was a Treasurer of the same, giving up the post to concentrate on my studies. I was also, for 3 years, a First Aid Instructor.
I spent 2½ years singing with Washington Operatic Society, only leaving when I moved to London, and, in September 2006, I renewed my interest in amateur operatics by joining the Bass Line of Erith Operatic Society . I was in the 2007 production of 'Yeomen of the Guard' and the 2008 production of 'My Fair Lady' when I had a few minor speaking roles within the Chorus. I am looking forward to performing in our Spring 2009 production of Gilbert & Sullivan's 'The Gondoliers'.
