I am very active in the Roman Catholic Parish of St John Vianney, Bexleyheath.
My duties and activities include:
- Parish MC - Looking after the Parish Priest (PP), any visiting clergy and the Altar Servers. I assist the PP in organising the services, especially at Holy Week / Easter, Remembrance Sunday and Christmas.
- Lay Reader - I also organise the readers' rota for Sunday Masses.
- Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion - I assist the priest in distributing Holy Communion whenever needed.
- Counting - I count the weekly collections on a fortnightly basis and draw up the 4-weekly rota (I am on two counting teams)
- Churches Together in Bexleyheath (CTiB) - Along with another parishioner and Fr Michael (the PP), I represent our parish on the Steering Committee of CTiB, which meets every 4 months.
- Parish Pastoral Committee member.
- I recently took over as WebMaster of the St John Vianney Website.
